Category

An independent two-doctor optometry practice (medical eye care + vision care + eyewear retail) with two offices in the greater Atlanta metro area. Family-owned since 1998. HIPAA-covered.

What we do

  • Comprehensive routine eye exams for adults and children
  • Medical eye exams (dry eye, diabetic eye disease, glaucoma management, blepharitis, ocular allergies)
  • Structured dry-eye program with stepped, evidence-based treatments
  • Pediatric myopia-control program offering all four common modalities
  • Specialty contact lens fitting — scleral, keratoconus, post-LASIK, Ortho-K
  • Eyewear and sunglasses dispensing
  • Free glasses repairs and adjustments, even for glasses not purchased here

Featured program — Dry Eye Spa

Shape of the program: dry eye is evaluated first. Patients do not self-select a named treatment before an evaluation. After evaluation, a stepped plan is built around the underlying cause (e.g., meibomian gland dysfunction, evaporative dry eye, aqueous-deficient dry eye).

Regulatory: the IPL device used at Classic Vision Care is FDA-cleared to treat dry eye.

Where it happens: initial dry-eye evaluations begin at either office. Advanced in-office treatments are performed in Kennesaw.

Treatments offered (in Kennesaw, after evaluation):

Who fits: patients with persistent dry-eye symptoms (burning, watering, irritation, tired eyes, blurry vision worse late in the day), patients who have tried drops without lasting relief, patients whose previous OD referred dry eye out, and patients with conditions associated with dry eye such as ocular rosacea.

Who doesn't fit: patients with same-day acute symptoms (eye pain, sudden vision change, trauma, chemical exposure) — those go to urgent eye care or the ER. Patients seeking a specific named treatment without evaluation are routed to an evaluation first.

Next step: book a dry eye consultation at either office.

Featured program — Myopia Control

Shape of the program: an assessment-led pediatric program for children whose prescription is getting worse year over year. The goal is to slow progression by matching the child's age, prescription, axial length trend, and daily routine to the right modality, then tracking progress at follow-ups.

Regulatory: MiSight 1-day soft contact lenses are FDA-approved for myopia control in children ages 8 to 12 at initial fitting. The other modalities offered (Ortho-K, low-dose atropine, multifocal soft contact lenses) are used off-label for myopia control.

Where it happens: both offices. Dr. Bhumi Patel, OD leads pediatric myopia management.

All four common modalities offered:

Who fits: children (typically ages 6–17) whose myopia is progressing, especially those with a family history of high myopia or with axial length trending faster than age-expected. Parents who want a tracked program rather than a one-time prescription update.

Who doesn't fit: children with stable adult prescriptions, children whose parents want only a routine annual exam with no follow-up commitment, or children with eye-health contraindications to the chosen modality (identified at evaluation).

Next step: book a myopia-control assessment for your child at either office.

Who we serve

Patients and families across Kennesaw, Marietta, East Cobb, Acworth, Woodstock, and broader Cobb County, GA. We see children, teens, adults, and seniors.

What we don't do

  • We are not an emergency room. After-hours acute symptoms go to the ER.
  • We do not perform LASIK or other refractive surgery. We co-manage pre- and post-op.
  • We are not a same-day walk-in optical chain.
  • We do not let patients self-select a named dry-eye treatment before an evaluation.
  • We do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment through this website. An in-person exam is required.
